Who Are We?

My name is Hani Noureddine, writer and owner of TrustMover.ca. I worked for 5 years in the moving industry in Montreal, Laval, and the South Shore.
I’ve experienced almost every moving scenario firsthand: client issues, scam tactics, and shady practices in an industry that’s too easy to enter.
Today, anyone can become a mover — all it takes is a rental truck and an ad online. No experience, no skills required. The lack of regulation has gone too far.

My Experience

I worked for 3 years at Transport Colivex with Mr. Salim Bentriou, from 2020 to 2023.
We completed many contracts for seniors living near Boulevard Gouin Est in Montreal-Nord. That’s where I heard countless stories of elderly clients scammed by dishonest movers:

  • Price hikes during off-season — seniors unaware of market rates

  • Fake ads with ultra-low prices to bait clients, then inflated fees

  • Withholding belongings until clients pay exaggerated ransom fees

  • Unannounced extra charges for packaging, stairs, or heavy items

  • False damage insurance promises that never exist

  • Fragile items broken or lost, with no compensation

  • Last-minute price hikes after loading begins, leaving the client no choice but to accept

Believe me — I received dozens of panicked calls from people abandoned last-minute by movers with zero integrity.

Why I Created TrustMover.ca

For me, money matters — but it should never be earned through shady practices.
I created this site to inform and protect clients, especially vulnerable seniors who are the most frequent victims of these scams.

TrustMover.ca is an independent blog, updated regularly to share verified, honest information to help people choose competent movers.
My goal is to highlight companies that uphold high standards of ethics and professionalism — and to offer clear, helpful advice to avoid bad surprises.
